They all died

All baby bunnies died. We're devastated.
It turns out, they were all peanut bunnies, meaning they all had the double dwarfing gene. Mom and Dad bunnies are both dwarfs. Peanut bunnies don't usually live more than a few days. This was day 3.

Neddy was such a good mommy, she took such good care of her babies. She's looking dejected now. My heart breaks for her.

Sorry to hear about your baby bunnies. It's very sad really. I do understand. Please give the girlies a wee hug from their Grammy and Grandpa - we'll be praying for them.

It is sad. She'll be confused for a couple days. It feels particularly distressing when something so fragile and small dies.

So so sorry - it's horrible to lose one, let alone all of them. DJx

I'm so sorry. Our last litter of bunnies, over half the kits had the double-dwarf gene. It was heartbreaking. It's also so sad when a baby gets out of the nest-box and ends up on the wire.
